The plants are about 1m high, standing erect. The flowers are about 1cm, blooming in clusters, arising from axils as well as the apex. The rust coloured centre, larger than the rays seems to be without any florets. And as the flower loses its glory, the ray florets also assume the same rusty brown centre colour. The leaves are small 1 in - 1½ in, toothed. The stem is hairy, green; and those holding the flower clusters are rusty brown very similar to the centre-head.
Photographed in Maharashtra.
