Common name: Blake's Coral Tree • Hindi: पंगार Pangar
Botanical name: Erythrina blakei    Family: Fabaceae (Pea family)

Blake's Coral Tree is probably a hybrid species, but its origins are uncertain. It has compound leaves with 3 oval, long pointed leaflets. Deep scarlet flowers are borne in elongated clusters at the end of branches, which can be 3 ft long. Unlike the Indian Coral Tree, it flowers while the tree is still covered with leaves.
