Botanical name: Tephrosia strigosa    Family: Fabaceae (Pea family)

Bristly Tephrosia is an annual spreading grass-like herb, occasionally weed of wastelands and cultivated field. Branchlets are velvety with prostrate hairs. Leaves are linear-oblong, 4-6 cm long, 0.2-1 cm broad, hairless above, velvety below, blunt. Flowers are pale violet, arising in leaf axils, singly or in pairs. Pods are flat, up to 2 cm long, 3 mm wide, with 5-10 seeds.
