Indian Gentian is an annual or perennial herb, 25-80 cm tall. Leaves are
mostly basal, in a
rosette. Stem leaves are in whorls of 3-6. Flowers are 4-5-merous, sometimes
nodding. Flower are pale blue-green to pale purple,
with blue veins, bell-shaped, 2-2.5 cm in diameter, tube 2-3 mm; lobes
oblong to oblong-spoon-shaped, 1.2-1.7 x 0.8-1.1 cm, tip rounded to
flat. Indian Gentian is native to Bhutan, Nepal, Sikkim.
