Botanical name: Senecoi jacquemontianus Family: Asteraceae (Sunflower family)
Jacquemont's Senecio is common in Kashmir and the Valley of Flowers, and can be identified merely by its height which could be as much as 1.5 m. The leaves are heart shaped and the flowers grow in a spike-like cluster, the flower heads being 4-5 cm across, with 12-15 ray florets.
