Lindley's Dendrobium is found as a miniature to small sized orchid growing
on trees, in North-East India and South-East Asia. Spindle-shaped
pseudobulbs carry a solitary, oblong, leathery, obtuse, dark-green leaf
each. The pant blooms in winter and spring with fragrant flowers on 4-15
flowered, often penadant raceme that arise from nodes at the middle of the
leafed or leafless cane. Lindley's Dendrobium may be confused with
Jenkins's Dendrobium, however the
latter has only 1-2 flowered inflorescences. It is found at elevations of
650-700 m.
