Narrowleaf Meadow-Grass is a loosely to densely
clustered green or greyish-green perennial grass with stems 20-70 cm
high. Basal leaf-blades are wiry and bristle-like, 3-40 cm long,
0.8-1.5 mm wide, often as long as the stems, the upper shorter and
sometimes flat. Ligule is usually not decurrent on the sheath margins.
Spikelets are 2.5-5 mm long; lemmas 2-3 mm long. Narrowleaf
Meadow-Grass is native to the temperate regions of Europe and Asia,
including the Himalayas. Flowering: April-August.
