Common name: Pamir Knotweed
Botanical name: Knorringia sibirica subsp. thomsonii    Family: Polygonaceae (Knotweed family)
Synonyms: Polygonum sibiricum var. thomsonii

Pamir Knotweed is a perennial herb with stems short, 2-5 cm tall. Leaves are linear, narrow, 3-10 cm long, 1.5-2.5 mm wide. Inflorescences are small, greenish white. Pamir Knotweed is found in wet places near saline lakes, saline areas by rivers in Afghanistan, Kashmir, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, at altitudes of 3200-5100 m. Flowering: June-September.
