Common name: Penstemon Etna
Botanical name: Penstemon spp. Family: Scrophulariaceae (dog flower family)
This flower may be confused with foxgloves. Penstamons are elegant,
semi-evergreen perennials, valued for their spires of tubular foxglove-like
flowers, in white and shades of pink, red and purple, held above lance shaped
leaves. Penstemon Etna have red flowers, white throat streaked purple
flowering late June onwards.
