Rough Emilia is a herb, prostrate at base,
crisped-velvet-hairy. Leaves are usually basal, few are on stem, 2.5-4
x 1-1.5 cm, oblong, entire or somewhat fiddle-shaped, rounded toothed,
base eared, crispately velvet-hairy. Flower-heads are few, 1.2-1.5 cm
long; bracts 8 x 1 mm, oblong, herbaceous, pointed, hairless. Florets
are many, 7 mm long, glandular, pink, lobes pointed. Seed-pods are 3 mm
long, ribbed, bristly along the angles. Rough Emilia is found in India
and SE Asia. Flowering: September-November.
