Botanical name: Chrysosplenium tenellum    Family: Saxifragaceae (Saxifrage family)

Tender Golden-Saxifrage is a perennial herb with threadlike trailing stems, 2.5-8 cm long. Leaves are kidney-shaped with a heart-shaped base and rounded lobed margin. Flowers are scattered, stalked. Seeds are smooth shining. Leaves about 1 cm broad, with 4-8 shallow lobes. Leaves arising from the root are long-stalked. Tender Golden-Saxifrage is found in the Western Himalayas, in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, at altitudes of around 3300 m.
