Botanical name: Conyza stricta    Family: Asteraceae (Sunflower family)

Erect Horseweed is an upright annual herb, up to 1.1 m tall. Stems are simple or branched near the base, covered with long white hairs. Stalkless, narrow leaves get smaller towards the top. Inflorescences are branched, up to 35 cm long. Flower-heads are 3mm, pale ellow, numerous, on short, densely hairy pedicels. Flowering: September-October.
